Condors Compete at Southern California Regional Championships
The Oxnard College Condors competed at the Southern California Regional Cross Country Championships held at San Diego’s NTC Park on November 7th.

In the women's race, the Condors placed 18th overall. Leading the team for the second time this season, freshman Valeria Reyes delivered a standout performance, finishing 58th with a personal best of 21:05 on the 5K course, earning her an individual qualifying berth to the State Championships. Sophomore Hailey Ortiz, battling through a tough week, placed 89th with a time of 21:59. Fellow sophomore Marisol Mohedano remained consistent, finishing 94th in 22:18, just ahead of freshman Daniela Sanchez in 95th at 22:19. Freshmen Yamile Baez and Ruby Torres rounded out the lineup, finishing 141st (29:41) and 142nd (29:54) respectively.
In the men's race, the Condors improved upon their pre-race ranking to finish 21st overall. Leading the charge, Edgardo Santiago Gaytan and Carlos Villagomez placed 61st (21:44) and 63rd (21:48), respectively, for the 4-mile course, both qualifying individually for the State Championships. Edwin Salvador, continuing his steady season, finished 146th with a time of 24:12, marking an improvement on the course. Sophomore Guadalupe Lopez followed in 162nd (26:40), with freshmen Armando Diaz and Jayden Allen closing out the race in 164th (27:04) and 165th (27:05).
The Condors will once again send three individual qualifiers to represent Oxnard College at the 3C2A State Championships, hosted at Woodward Park in Fresno on November 22nd.
