Condors Host Coaches vs. Cancer Night, Raise Over $1,200 in Community Campaign
OXNARD, Calif. — While the final score favored Moorpark College, the true victory on Tuesday night belonged to the community, as Oxnard College Athletics proudly hosted Coaches vs. Cancer (C v C) Night, raising over $1,200 in support of the American Cancer Society at the Condors’ home contest.

Fans, student-athletes, coaches, and staff came together in a powerful show of unity, generosity, and purpose, underscoring Oxnard College's commitment to using athletics as a platform for positive impact beyond the scoreboard. Proceeds from donations, awareness efforts, and game-night initiatives directly support cancer research, patient services, and advocacy.
On the court, Moorpark (18-9, 9-2) built a first-half lead and secured an 80–54 win over Oxnard (6-20, 1-10). The Condors showed resilience in the second half, outscoring the Raiders 34–35 after the break. Oxnard was led by Carter Reid, who finished with 16 points, while Jeremy Goodcase added 15 points, including three three-pointers.
Despite the result, the evening reflected the core values of Oxnard College Athletics — community, compassion, and leadership.
"Coaches vs. Cancer Night is always bigger than basketball," said Oxnard College Athletic Director Jonas Crawford. "Raising over $1,200 shows the strength of our campus and local community.
