Condors Finish Regular Season Unbeaten in WSC Play; Earn #2 Seed in Southern California for 3C2A Playoffs
The Oxnard College Men’s Soccer team capped off an outstanding 2025 regular season with a 1–1 draw against Santa Barbara City College on Friday afternoon, preserving their undefeated conference record and securing the #2 overall seed in Southern California for the upcoming 3C2A postseason.
GAME RECAP: Oxnard 1, Santa Barbara 1
Santa Barbara struck early in the 6th minute when Payton Rodgers finished a setup from Gustavo Loera to give the Vaqueros a 1–0 advantage. The Condors responded quickly. In the 13th minute, Ernesto Rodriguez buried the equalizer after a brilliant assist from Javier Sanchez, leveling the match at 1–1.
From there, Oxnard controlled much of the possession and created opportunities, earning seven corner kicks on the afternoon. The Condor back line, anchored by Emiliano Rivera, Michael Sauceda, and Emmanuel Yarjah, held firm, limiting SBCC to only four total shots.
Goalkeeper Jesus Gonzalez recorded two saves while organizing a disciplined defensive effort that helped Oxnard close out the season with another result. Nate Becerra continued his high-energy play for the Condors as well.
Though neither side found a late winner, the draw secures Oxnard's impressive 12–2–3 overall record and a 7–0–2 mark in WSC North play, extending a dominant run that earned the Condors the 2025 WSC North Championship earlier this week.
